That has not ever happened and apparently will not since no more movies are going to be made for that series. Sylvestor Stallone wanted his character to be killed off at the end of "Rocky 5"- but the producers talked him out of it because they said Rocky Balboa is an American icon and having him die would be like doing just that to Superman. The comic book where Superman fought Doomsday and got killed came out shortly after.

Never- Sylvestor Stallone himself insisted on it for the fifth film and got talked out of it by the producers. They thought Rocky Balboa was an American icon just like Superman and killing him off would be the same as doing that to the Man of Steel. However- the story where Superman was killed by Doomsday came out not too long after the movie was released.
