In the past, families farmed for their own food. Nowadays it is just farmers and crop people who do it.
Inuits had a traditional belief in spirits and rebirth. This meant they had great respect for the environment and animals they hunted, taking only what they needed. They were respectful to the dead animals they had killed, so that it would allow itslef to be hunted again in its next life. These things meant there was preservation of species for food and clothing in the past and today.
They see and smell the food, they follow other birds, and thet remember where food has been in the past. They probably come to nearby trees for food and then find a bit of a bonus.
