How did Edward Cullen's parents die in the movie?

his mother had been the one who had made up carlisle's mind to turn edward into a vampire. her name was elizabeth masen and edward's father, edward senior, never regained conciousness in the hospital. he died in the first wave of influenzia. but elizabeth was alert until almost the very end. edward looks a great deal like her- she had the same strange bronze shade of hair, and her eyes were exacly the same shade of green the edward's had been before he had been changed. elizabeth worried obsessivly over her son. she hurt her own chances of survival trying to nurse him from he sickbed. carlisle expected that he would go first, he was so much worse off than she was. when the end came for her, it was very quick. it was just after sunset and carlisle had just arrived to relieve the doctors who'd been working all day. that was a hard time to pretend- there was so much work to be done as he hated to go back to his house and hide in the dark while many could have been dying. he checked on elizabeth and her son first. he had grown attached- always a dangerous thing to do considering the fragile nature of humans. he could see at once that she had taken a wrong turn. the fever was raging out of control, and her body was too weak to fight anymore. but she didn't look weak she glared up at carlisle from her cot saying to save her son and to do everything that he could possiably do, everything,what others could not do to do for him. carlisle had spent decades thinking of making a companion for himself. just one other creature that would know what and who he really was. but he could never do that to another human being put them through that much pain, that was unnessasary. he sent wards mother to the morge after she passed and came back to roll him off as others expected but no one noticed that he was still breathing, there wasn't enough people to pay that much attention to what the patients needed so he took edward and had took him to his home and changed him and carlisle remarks to Bella that he has never felt sorry or regetful about saving edward.
