I don't know of a mission statement for Pixar, but if I find one, I will post it. But, some people might say that Luxo Jr. is the logo for Pixar, because it was the first short film by Pixar and it shows up in the logo of each of their movies.

To tell the viewers that this is a movie produced by Pixar, and released by Disney. The Walt Disney Company bought Pixar Animation in 2006, so the films produced by Pixar are owned by Disney so a movie says it's a "Disney-Pixar film" because it has the cooperation of both studios.

Aside from the common kitchen appliance, Blender is an Open Source 3D modeling and animation suite (in plainspeak: a computer program for making Pixar / Dreamworks etc style animated movies).Next to the commercial equivalents (Autodesk Maya, 3DSMaX, Lightwave etc) Blender has proven to be a very strong contender in terms of overall capabilities.
