Well as it is based on his life I guess so, but obviously for the sake of comedy he has added over the top sterotypes and situations which most probably didn't happen.
The guy sitting at the bar was chris's future agent. He wants to be a comidien, just like Chris rock. The show is base on Chris rock's life.
I like Malcom in the Middle; I love Everybody Hates Chris. The reason is because Malcom is always so noisy and everyone is yelling but the writing is very clever and the direction the dialog is going is always unexpected; the actors do their roles to a tee. Chris is my favorite because it is witty, closer to real life situations that go way off the trolley tracks, and every actor and every character, even the peripheral characters, are wonderfully drawn and wonderfully acted. Who couldn't love that poor kid's mom?!
half and half some things are real others are just added but it is mostly true events that happened but sometimes the stories are exaggerated
