He felt betreyed by his Master. He believed he was meant to be the Dragon Warrior, but Master Oogway saw darkness in Tai Lung. The darkness Oogay saw may have been Tai Lung's arrogance. As Shifu says "The mark of a true hero is humility." Tai Lung was not humble. He knew he was good, and believed it was he who should be whorshipped and respected.
