In the manga, she doesn't, but she does die about one year after Light dies due to her shortened lifespan (she made the Shinigami eye trade twice, so she cut her lifespan in half, then in half again).
In the anime, it's implied that she kills herself (but never actually said for sure). She's standing on the top of a very tall building outside the safety rail, looking down.
