yes men were considered dominant over women in the early 1900s. It wasn't until 1920 that women had any right to vote. Even then women still did not have equal rights as men did.
OF COURSE! We are sooo close to getting equal pay for women and men in our country, and its all thanks to those women in the late 1800s and early 1900s that we can vote and we could build ourselves up in the world ever since then.
Emmeline Pankhurst created the Women's Franchise League and helped create the Women's Social and Political Union. Both were unions that worked for improvements in the stature of women in Britain in the late 1800s and the early 1900s. Their main goal was to gain voting rights for women.
