Yes, the great ship broke in two moments before disappearing beneath the water. In her final moments, Titanic tilted upwards, glided beneath the water and broke in two providing a horrifying spectacle for survivors in the water. The two sections have since been located on the ocean floor.

It is often said that towards the end of the sinking the Titanic broke into two pieces when the strain of having the stern lifted 45 degrees was to much for the ship's hull. However, very few eye witnesses report the ship breaking up, and those that do give it as a possibility. The theory became popular when the wreck was found in two pieces but it is entirely possible that the ship broke in half below the water line, as people who were only a few yards from the ship when she sank never mention the break.

Also, the titanic split in "half" because the ship was so large. Some Titanic investigators believe also a small wave is to blame because think of a huge ship, as long as 8 city blocks large going on a small wave the titanic could have easily broke also because of that. Sorry to be rude but the reason people believed that the titanic did not break in two because of the person who said it did not break in two it was encouraged because of the mans ranking in the white star line.

Yes. There are two major parts (and one smaller one) of the wreck of Titanic.

It was never absolutely confirmed until the wreck was discovered but At least 53 survivors testified/asserted that the ship broke.
