The weather will much depend upon where you are in France. Towards the Alps and the mountains in the east of France there is a very good chance of snow. Away from the mountains, but still in the east, it is likely to be cold and around freezing.

Towards Paris and the north west of the country it is usually cold and wet, there might be a few flakes of snow to help boost the festive spirit.

Heading south and you are likely to have a mild Christmas in France, although there is a chance of snow in the mountains of the Puy de Dome, further south on the Mediterranean coast you may enjoy some sunshine.

The national weather service, Météo-France, offers more detailed information and forecasts.
