1. Moon's motion in its axis causes Full Moon and New Moon 2. It also cause Lunar eclipse and Solar Eclipse 3. Moon's orbit around Earth is not perfectly round but is oval or elliptical in shape. As the Moon orbits our planet, it's distance varies from about 221,000 to 252,000 miles. This 13% variation in the Moon's distance makes the Moon's apparent size in our sky vary by the same amount

The altitude of Polaris is roughly equal to your north latitude. Your longitude has no effect on it.At 35 degrees south latitude, the altituide of Polaris is negative 35 degrees. In other words,it's 35 degrees below the point on the horizon due north of you, and you can't see it.
ahmedabad and kolkata lie on almost the same latitude

You find latitude by finding the place on the map and see what line it is between or on. The same with longitude. You can also find the latitude and longitude of an address using Google maps.
If you knew your latitude was 57 and your longitude was 47, then you could look on a map of the earth and see which line is latitude 57. You could then follow latitude line 57 until you see hit longitude line 47. This would give you the precise location of your whereabouts.

Sorry the #'s are a little hard to see.
As you know, the latitude number must be further clarified as 'north' or 'south' latitude, and the longitude number must be further clarified as 'east' or 'west' longitude. But when you do that, it's hard for a computer to read the information ... which has become a pretty important consideration now. So nowadays, it's common to see latitude written as ' + ' for north and ' - ' for south, and longitude written as ' + ' for east and ' - ' for west. Computers understand the difference between positive and negative numbers very well, and this makes it easier all around.
on an atlas you'll see lines across maps, the vetical lines are the longitude (east and west).the latitude will be the horizontal lines known as north and south.....Wrong way round. Longitude is north/south and latitude is east/west.
Latitude and longitude co-ordinates are inappropriate to locate such a huge area, describing it would be also an incredible undertaking. Suffice to say most of what you see in the eastern and northern hemisphere is Asia.
