the Canadian army is far better trained and payed than the American military... i once talked to a marine seargeant who said if we where the same size Canada could take the Americans easily... i agreed....
There is no direct comparison due to population discrepancies . All things being equal, Americans are far more aggressive . This makes Canadians more pleasant to be around, but less effective combatants.
Only if they have Dual Citizenship. The Canadian Forces only accepts Canadian citizens, with few exceptions granted to foreign nationals who may possess a skill which the CF needs badly enough to justify allowing them to enlist.
It depends on your nationality. Obviously any American would say that the USAF is better, and any Canadian would say the CF. I, being a fairly patriotic Canadian, would obviously say the Canadian Forces are better.
It truly depends on which aspect you look at it from. Both have equivalent manpower (the U.S has 1,000,000 soldiers for 350,000,000 citizens and Canada has 100,000 soldiers for 35,000,000 citizens). I would say that equipment wise, the U.S is better equipped (they have Gunships and Nuclear submarines while Canada has tourist helicopters with mounted mini guns). I don't know about the U.S, but being a Canadian who wants to join the military, I can confidently say that any Canadian soldier would happily die for their country. I would say that Canada's army has a better heritage and history, getting it's origins from the British Army. The only time we had a war with the U.S we won without having to fire a single shot (the battle for Detroit during the war of 1812) so I guess they have (or used to have) battle superiority. I hope this answered your question :)
The Canadian quart is equal to 40 ounces and the American quart is equal to 32 ounces. There are four Canadian quarts in a Canadian gallon and there are four US quarts in the US gallon. However there are exacly five US quarts in a Canadian gallon.

No. It is last name only.
Transfer? You're implying that defending your country is taken so glibly that fighting for a nation other than Canada would be even acceptable to Canadian soldiers? To answer your question... No. The oath a Canadian Military personnel take is not "transferable" to another country. Will the US Army take non-citizen recruits? Yes. Just walk in and sign on the line.

Without having served in the American military, you're not entitled to benefits from the American VA. Just the same as a US Army soldier wouldn't receive benefits from the Canadian government, since they served in a military foreign to Canada, rather than in the Canadian Forces.
No. During WWII American Men who joined the Canadian Air Force and went to England were allowed to transfer to the US Army Aircore when the Americans later arrived in England. Presently it is not done.
