Witches are bad. Why? Because they are of the devil. Movies are just movies, most of them that are watched are fiction. Witches can't be good have anyone seen their 'witchcraft' in action before? Trust you would not want to, but if you do there is a very good example on a show called a haunting. Witches can't ever be good ever. Not even if they saved the world. Which I am very sure will never happen. Witches are fictional so they can be thought either good or bad easily. I can argue that they are bad since in most stories they are but has anyone really known a witch? If you haven't then you really don't have the right to push all of the witches together into one final judge. Just like humans can be either good or bad I'm positive that if witches were real there would be good and bad witches. People who practice the craft , society has named them Witch, they do not believe in a devil. Witch's believe that everything a person does has an energy that stays around that person if you are a person who lives life in a positive way in your thoughts your actions and the way you treat all living beings you will attract positive energy into your life, if you are a negative person that's the energy you will attract and that's what your life will be. Joan of Ark was labeled a witch by the christians because of a power she had that made her a threat to the christens. They burnt her alive, to send fear into any living person who processed any spiritual links, the man Christ had a power, but I give the credit to his mother Miriam [ the christians called her Mary]. Does not a child learn from his mother??
4 active in the book, 3 active in the movie. Author and Oz series originator Lyman Frank Baum [May 15, 1856-May 5, 1919] identified four main witches who are active in his story: Glinda the Good Witch of the South, the Good Witch of the North, and the Wicked Witches of the East and of the West. The original count was six or seven. For the world of Oz originally had four wicked witches. But Glinda and her colleague managed to take over the Quadling country of the South and the Munchkinland of the North, respectively, from the Wicked Witches who had been ruling in those two lands. In addition, Baum brings in the story of Gayelette, a beautiful princess and powerful sorceress of the North. Is she a seventh witch, in addition to the two previously Wicked Witches of the North and of the South; the two Wicked Witches of the East and of the West; and the two Good Witches of the North and of the South? Or is she the younger version of the older Good Witch of the North? In the 1902/1903 stage version of the book, Baum gives the Good Witch of the North the name Locasta. But there are inconsistencies between the play and the book versions even though Baum authored both! In the 1939 film version, there are only three witches: Glinda has become the Good Witch of the North, there's no Good Witch of the South, and there are the two Wicked Witches of the East and of the West.

No. There are no witches in Gambia. But there are some gullible people that may believe in witches for no good reason. If you want to find some real live witches, you can find them in the United States. However do not get the mistaken belief that witches are necessarily evil or servants of Satan, the devil or Lucifer. Real witches are descendants of ancient earth and pagan religions.
charmed witches- also known as good witches - use good magic to fight demons. bad witches - puts spells on people

There were a lot of people who really believed in witches. However the witches in Macbeth are not to be taken seriously: they have silly songs and dances and speak in silly rhyming couplets. But they were inserted (probably by Thomas Middleton who wrote one of the songs) because that portrayal of witches was extremely popular and the audience wanted more.
No but there is a story called Roahl Dahl The witches.

Yes. A lot of witches live in America.
People were scared of what witches could or would do with their power. They considered all witches evil, which was not, in fact, the case. Indeed, there were evil witches, but there were also good witches.
