NHTSA stats show 32% of fatal multiple car crashes were where the speed limit was 55 MPH, 27% of single fatal car crashes were at 55 MPH.

Interestingly that's less than fatal crashes at 60 MPH speed limit which is 20% single car and 24% multiple car.

This doesn't show how many were driving over the speed limit though.

No one has ever died from speeding. Its the abrupt stopping that kills them.

None. Accidents are cause by human error and mechanic failures. The act of speeding can not cause an accident. It's a conspiracy.
