1998 Kawasaki Vulcan Classic 1500
Chances are you will have to modify it, but hey, it's a custom right?
should be 2002 - 2004
Large bikes like a Kawasaki Vulcan 1500, 1600, 2000,
This could be done with some minor modifications.
No, the frame size of the two bikes is different.
I'm pretty sure it does. I own a 1995 Vulcan and I bought a 2003 tank and looked at the mounting brackets and fuel connections all looked to be the same - but don't put this in stone. I haven't been able to put it on yet because it's still out being painted. There should be no difference in the fuel tank mounts from 1996-1005, but as always, check with a professional if this information is critical.
The seat of any Kawasaki Vulcan will fit a mean streak with a little fabrication.
It fits with stock seat.
Yes. Everything is interchangeable between them. Very little if anything ever changed between any of the vn750 model years.
If your Vulcan is a US model an 85 will be a 700cc moter. due to tarrifs the US govt put on import bikes for that year, the 86 is the first year the Vulcan came as a 750cc because Kawasaki moved a plant into the US. The VN7xx's are the same basic bike from beginning to end of production, so simple answer is yes the 85 will fir into the frame of the 89. There are probably going to be some minor differances though, the brake pedal might be differant and on later models the master cylinder changed from the square to round. C
On the back of the seat behind the too box there are 2 screws holding the seat onto the frame.Unscrew the 2 & pull the back of the seat up and out. There is a tongue on the front of the seat buy the tank it fits into a grove. You must fit it in there before putting the screws back in.
