∙ 12y agocheck to be sure the blades have free movement. usually if you have this problem it is caused from something stopping the blades from rotating therefore it stops the engine
which 42" Craftsman riding mower is made by Huskvarna
Turn your blades off.
The engine kill switch is under the seat.
One can purchase a Craftsman riding lawnmower from Sears, direct from Craftsman, or at the website of TractorByNet. One may also be able to purchase a Craftsman riding mower on eBay.
Usually there is a problem with the belts that drive the blades, after you stop the mower. Take a close look at the belts and assure that the belt is tracking and the pulleys are aligned. If you are unsure of the belt routing recheck the manual.
If you are saying that the mower shuts off when you engage the blades (or put the lever for the blades in the up position) then the most common problem is a bad seat safety switch. This is located under the seat. It has two wires going to it.
Go to a small engine dealer or repair shop .
I'm not positive, but I think it is Craftsman.
it takes 20w50 motor oil
If it has a Briggs and Stratton engine you need SAE30. If it is a Kohler it uses 10W30.
