As of 2018, there were approximately 13.5 million motorcycles registered in the United States. This number includes both street-legal motorcycles and off-road motorcycles.
It was very dangerous. There were thieves who would do anything to take your pocessions. The road was poorly paved so it was a bumpy ride. The road was long.
Motorcycles are loud due to an Open engine. Loud and motorcycles go together.
Harley davidsons with at least 1000 cc engine or bigger. They are constantly on the road so they almost always have a touring bike or a very comfortable softail.
She is looking for something dangerous to do, so that she breaks her promise that she made to Edward and comes across two motorcycles that are in disrepair that she aquires for free. She gives one to Jacob in return for his workmanship in fixing them up. She rides it to get the thrill of the danger and to hear Edwards angry voice warning her not to hurt herself.

"Enduro" means a kind of racing, or the kind of motorcycles used for enduro racing. Enduro motorcycles designed for both off-road and road use. So the are similar to dirt bikes but also have headlights, tail and brake lights and turn signals, and whatever else is required to make them usable on a road. The actual motor may be exactly the same as that used on a pure dirt bike of the same displacement.
avoid following a truck too closely and position your vehicle so the truck driver can see it in his side mirrors
Off-road motorcycles perform better maneuvers than street or dual-purpose motorcycles because they were deliberately meant, designed and manufactured to do so. They are relatively light, small and have tires that can grip the dirt pretty good, not to mention the suspension. However if you compare a dirt bike and a sport bike on pavement, the dirt bike would get outmaneuvered in a matter of seconds. Street bikes are designed for speed, and there are no compromises, the manufacturers have to give up all off-road capabilities for the sake of speed. Dual purpose bikes are made to go on both streets and dirt, but that requires lots of compromises, this way you loose some speed and some off-road capabilities, this way you can do both. Off-road bikes are meant to be agile and nimble to climb over things and jump over stuff and turn quickly on dirt... No compromises...
It all depends on your physical state, ant what climate you live in. motorcycles usually get better gas milage than cars, but are much more dangerous to operate. also if you live in a cold climate they can be really dangerous to ride due to slippery road surfaces and wind chill. however the insurance is usually less than a car and if you live in an amicable climate and the weather is decent you should enjoy the ride. so that said get out and RIDE!!
Most of the first motorcycles made were basically bicycles with an internal combustion engine strapped on somehow. These bikes were constructed just as "roads" were beginning to appear, so they were built to ride off road as well. Therefore, even the first motorcycles could be referred to as "dirt bikes". So dirt bikes (and street bikes) have been around since the dawn of motorycling, just at the time they were simply considered regular motorcycles.
