I am trying to find drain plug on 93 flh.
In answer to the question, "What model Harley-Davidson did Evel Knievel ride?" the correct answer is an XR750. Honda, Norton, Triumph and Laverda did not produce any models of Harley-Davidsons. SORRY TODD. Was trying to post this answer to a different post.
There are many Harley Davidson motorcycle mechanic schools that offer a wide range of training focused solely on diagnosing, repairing, and servicing these iconic American machines. Harley Davidson mechanic schools teach assembly and dis-assembly of the motorcycles Big Twin and V-Rod engines, as well as how to work on suspension systems, chassis, transmissions, and electrical and engine control systems. Study at a Harley Davidson mechanic school is the best place to earn the professional certifications that employers seek when hiring qualified motorcycle mechanics. i would suggest trying UTI their website is http://www.uti.edu/Home/Motorcycle/Manufacturer-Programs/Harley-Davidson Check it out i think youll like it
The same reason any company would want to build sales; to increase profits.
If clicking while trying to start then might be a bad starter. If clicking while running, then might be valve/lifter noise.
clicking noise when trying to sart engine usually indicates a flat battery.if the battery is not the problem ,the starter motor needs repair.
Motorcycle exhaust systems are complicated designs and made to allow maximum performance from the motor. Straight pipes or "drag" pipes are made for just that, drag racing. While it probably is not bad to take out the baffle it will hurt the performance. If it is not a Harley-Davidson and one is trying to get that sound it won't work. The design of Harley V-Twin and the degree of engine rotation at which the spark plugs ignite are the source of the sound.
consult your owners manual. however, i always use premium. trying to save money on gas only cost more down the road on repairs.
A clicking sound, when trying to start the engine, indicates a dead battery or poor (dirty) battery or starter relay connections. The clicking sound is the starter relay(soleniod) not getting enough power to hold it's contact points together.
Look at the lower rear end of the engine
battery is FLAT insufficient power to hold the starter solenoid in to start /turn engine over
Well, if you are hauling the motor, all you gotta do it toss it in the back, If youre trying to put it in the engine IN the truck, make sure you remove the 300+ pound 6 or 8 cyl. engine, then get your cherry picker and gently now, install the 165 pound 2 cyl in the hole. Then finish the case of beer you have been drinking and be amazed at all the work you just did for nothing because it ain't gonna work
