Why does my Honda 750 shadow shake?

make sure your wheels are tightened all the screws on the forks are tight including the allen screws. you might need to get your wheels balanced with weights. you can eyeball the balance by lifting the bike and spinning the wheel; make sure it turns smoothly. if the tires have been flat for awhile their might be a bubble that causes a shake. make sure your chain is not too tight or too loose and greased up. the rear wheel might be at a slight angle because the screw adjust foward and backward to adjust the chain. also check your motor mounts around the engine are tight or not missing any. good luck

Ive got a vt1100 1988 it would shake like hell when i bought it ,also at low speed in 1st gear it would chudder shake even more and felt like it was in 3rd gear not 1st ,the problem or problems were down to last owner ,shotgun pipes one without a baffle,pipes not seated right at head, standard jets,air screws wound in full, 2 wrong plugs,one duf ht lead,one choke stuck on,same fuel filter that was fitted by Honda in 1988,and last thing valva timing ,now rides great,not saying your bike needs all above jobs doing ,if you have checked wheel nuts engine nuts ect ect start with the carbs get them balanced or if poss cleaned and rebuilt that should sort it out if not then start going through list above,cheers H
