Remove the plastic side covers from the bike. Remove tool kit from the left side of the bike, this is inside the cover in a small plastic bag. Nest, remove the electric cable from the negative battery terminal, then remove the positive cable. The fuse box is on top of the battery, this is removed by unscrewing the 10 mm bolts holding it and then laid aside, still conected by its cable. The battery is now free and can be lifted up, but first remove the rubber strap holding it. The new battery can now be inserted, begin by connecting the negative cable to its terminal. You can now fasten the battery by its strap, then place the fuse box in place and fasten this, again using the 10 mm wrench. Finally, place the plastic side covers in place after you have fastened the tool kit in its place.
12 volts
Installing a new battery in a Honda Shadow 600 is very easy to do. The battery is located in the seat area, behind the gas tank. Loosen the clamps that are holding the battery in place with a screwdriver. Then take the old battery out and put the new one in.
