Honda ATV oil 10W 40 ...only use ATV oil not car oil ... I go to the top of the crosshatch marks on the dipstick.. :-)

I just called a Honda ATV dealer and asked him what oil to use in a 1982 ATC 110 he says 10w40. He says 10w40 was standard back in the 70,80's.

One can use regular automobile motor oil in a Honda recon. however, it is recommended that one use regular ATV 30 weight oil in these machines. The oil capacity for this particular model is 1.7 quarts.
