∙ 11y agoThis is the emergency engine stop switch located on the right handlebar next to the throttle. To be used in situations where you have to switch off the engine in an emergency, as the main ignition switch is located at the side of the bike and cannot be easily reached while driving.

It does not have a reserve switch - it has a sensor in the reserve tank that turns a light on on the dash when you are low on fuel.

The 1983 through to 1985 have a low fuel warning light and no reserve switch. The warning light is hooked to a sensor which is in the secondary fuel tank under the seat.
There are two possibilities here. One, go to any large Honda motorcycle dealership that has been in operation since your bike was manufactured. It is possible they have an owners or service manual that you can copy. Second, join a Honda Shadow owner's forum on the internet, some of the members will verly likely help you out.
If you call your local Honda dealership they can tell you right away
