How much engine oil does a 1982 Honda Nighthawk 650 take? 3.4 quarts
I have a 1982 Honda Nighthawk. If you remove the bolt in the front of the motor on the bottom the fins and bolt will drop down. You will then see the oil filter cartridge. It looks like an air filter but it is for oil. Change the cartridge and reinstall.
This is given as 26 mm according to the information I have.
ya no problem
Oil Drain 2.6 QtRebuild 3.2 QtInfo from Clymer Manual
no they will not interchange, the front mounts are different
For the CB 650, the same gas tank was used on all models from 1982 to 1985.
I'm still looking for what kind of fork oil is available, but the manual says you can use Dexron ATF
There is a sticker with the vehicle identificationÊnumber on the left side of the steering tube if you are sitting on the bike. The number is also stamped on the steering tube.
Reg. fuel should work fine. ( 87 Octane ) if problems go to 89. Oil. 10w40 is good.
This motorcycle has about 45-50 mpg.
An 82' nighthawk 450 takes 2.6 quarts of of sae 10w-40 SE or SF grade oil... Although I've heard from friends who ride say you should get motorcycle oil or Honda specified oil. The nighthawks have a "wet" clutch system and regular car oil will burn out your clutch.. that's from a ATV technician..
