Salvage title means it is a "title" that can be ugraded into rebuilt/prior salvage depending where you live in America. Certificate of Salvage is not a title and can never be a title it is just a certificate saying that the MVA is giving you proof that you own this parts car or what ever it is. It is never allowed to drive on public roads even after you fix it. -The Muslim guy
Yes they can as long as the vehichle has a "salvage title" or certificate of reconstruction, or reconstruct title.
If you have a title, and it is red, then you can't register it at all. The only thing you can do is sell it to an individual for parts only or to a salvage yard. If the title is blue, then you should be able to register it and it will be a salvage title. If all you have is a certificate of destruction and no title, then its the same as having a red title.
In many states, a slavage vehicle can be inspected and receive a "salvage title". If you ever want to sell the vehicle you'll have to disclose the salvage title.
The difference between a junkyard and a salvage yard is what they keep. A junkyard takes mostly car parts. A salvage yard takes all kinds of scrap metal like aluminum and copper.
A Certificate of Destruction is when the a salvage yard has sent a car to the crusher and before it is crushed he must have the Vehicle ID number check to make sure he has title to destroy the car for scrap metal. Salvaged Title is when a Insurance Title company has deemed a car damaged in a accident i.e. crash, natural diaster, stolen stripped, to repair this car exceeds the cost of the car. So the Insurance company pays-off the owner of the car then sells the car to salvage yard but they put a Salvage Title on the Vin as to make sure if this vehicle is return back in to service the new owner knows that it was deemed totalled. Also so the insurance companies will know if it ever is asked to be insured again they will insure at a lower replacement cost.
Salvage value is defined as the value of the product after its useful life .In other words it is the value after depreciation. Salvage value also known as scrap value.
The word "salvage" can function as both a noun and a verb. As a noun, it refers to the act of saving or rescuing something from destruction or damage. As a verb, it means to retrieve or save something from loss or destruction.

You must provide that salvage title in order to claim for the collision aspect of this current claim.
Salvage can be defined as * property or goods saved from damage or destruction * save from ruin, destruction, or harm * the act of saving goods or property that were in danger of damage or destruction * the act of rescuing a ship or its crew or its cargo from a shipwreck or a fire The meaning of salvage varies according to the context used. Generally the term is used in the context of Insurance Claim. It means the recovery made by an insurance company by the sale of property which has been taken over from the insured as a part of loss settlement. It can also mean the process of protecting the contents of a building from fire, smoke and water damage. Tools used include salvage covers that are placed over furniture, preventing damage from water and debris.
Do you mean salvaged title? http://www.state.nj.us/mvc/cit_title/v_title_special.html Also from the state of New Jersey website regarding junk vs. salvage titles: Q. What is the difference between a junk title and a salvage title? A. A junk title is issued to a "public agency" (police department, municipality, etc.) for junk vehicles found abandoned on roadways. Once a junk title is issued, the vehicle can never be re-titled for use on the road. A salvage title is issued when a vehicle has been declared a total loss (through collision, flood, fire, theft, etc.) by an insurance carrier or owner. The salvage title is necessary in order to dispose of or sell the vehicle to a junkyard or dealer. If a vehicle with a salvage title is repaired and passes inspection, it can be re-titled for use on the road.
