JOHN DEERe 420's were produced from 1956-1958 and run around $3,000-4,000 US dollars. This tractor was known as "The Fleet" because of the many different configurations it can be used in. Additional parts or configurations could make a 420 sell for more, but 3-4 thousand is the average for a basic, used one.
80/90 How do you put the oil in a transaxle on a John Deere LA130? Where does it go? We are having a problem ...very slow on hills...no power. Machine has 420 hrs
WOW! Good question! John Deere only made 31 of these!!!!! So yes, they are super rare. I've seen them go for anywhere from $5000 for an unrestored, stuck tractor to $29000 for a fantastic restored example. If you have one good for you and if you're looking at buying one, and it's in good shape for a reasonable price, good luck to you in buying it and preserving part of John Deere's past.
Not supposed to, the 318 was designed to have the 46 in or the 50 in deck on it. The 60 in decks mounting hardware that was used on the 420 is not the same. But if you can get it to work, good luck.
A Sony DCRDVD301 sells for approximately $420 dollars, but the price can vary from place to place depending on which retailer you purchase from and when you make your purchase.
The closest answer I could find was for a regular 1010 crawler without the dozer blade, which weighs 6900 lbs [or 3129 kg].
$420
The loaders will fit a variety of tractors, the difference you must know is the attachment pieces. Does it have a belt driven or shaft driven pump? If it is belt driven it is for the 300 series John Deere garden tractors. - 316, 318, 322, and 332. Shaft driven pumps are for the 420 and 430 tractors. Next you need to know what frame you have. There are three different ones. For the 300 series, 420 and 430. Hope that helps...
The price will vary from $100 to $300. So shop around and find a bargin. Online shopping for these is usually the best as you can compare prices and get them shipped fast.
No. To tell the truth John Deere tractors were painted many different colors over the years. Back in the 1950s and 1960s, John Deere two-cylinder tractors such as the 420/430 and 320/330 were painted highway orange, highway yellow, and yes there were a handful painted red. John Deere wanted to win over as many customers as they could so when you ordered a tractor, you could have it painted a color other than traditional ag green and yellow for a low flat rate. Many state highway departments did this to make their equipment easily identifiable. Even today, some tractors built specifically for construction purposes are paited industrial yellow, so yes there have been many different colors available (by special order) on John Deere tractors over the years.
