If your are looking for a good mellow"Harley"tone,I recommend the Cobra 2" drag pipes. They are full length, stock size at the heads with 2" "tips".They have removable baffles to give you that tone you are looking for.I speak from experience.I have an 03 750 spirit with these pipes and the baffles removed and the sound will amaze you.
Don't forget if you install these pipes you will need to rejet your carbs as well.
TRY Honda dfw they are good.
There is no set price that you could sell your Honda 1100 American Classic Shadow for. A car in good condition sells for more than one in poor condition.
To purchase a new exhaust for a Honda Civic one might want to make an inquiry at the auto dealer where the vehicle was purchased, as they may be able to order parts for you. Online sites such as Auto Parts Warehouse and CARiD are good sources for finding a new exhaust for your vehicle.
without aftermarket parts its about 113 mph. i have custom exhaust, low end springs, and some work done on the engine and i get up to around 125 mph. WIth a good turbo though it can easily reach upwards of 150 or 160.
bad starter or bad ignition coil
Naturally, it all depends, but let's assume the following: Best case, low miles, bike runs well, some wear and tear, brakes & tires good exhaust good then roughly 1500. Bike runs, brakes ok, tires worn, exhaust rusted, then 1200. Bike barely runs (with choke) needs tires, brakes ok, exhaust rusted, then 1000. Bike not running, needs tires, needs exhaust, brakes not working but gas tank is ok (not rusted, not leaking) then 2-300 if low miles, if high miles (>50k) forget it. Worst case, not running, seat dry rotted, brakes not working, tires cracked, exhaust rusted, only good for parts, 50.00
The fuel filter on my 1999 Shadow is just below the fuel shutoff on the left side of the bike. You will probably need to pull the left side cover to see it. Good luck!
The SRT-4 exhaust will fit, but it will need to be cut and re-welded near the front of the car where it goes to the exhaust manifold. In other words, it will take a bit of custom work and extra tubing, but the exhaust can be made to fit. The exhaust also does not sound very good on a stock neon since it only has resonators and no muffler.
Any good JASO MA or MA2 approved motorcycle oil, 15-40 W.
They dont exist. The Honda "Shadow" line didn't start until 2003. If someone is trying to sell an 82' Shadow they either don't know the year of the bike or are pawning off a magna or something on those lines.....either way..if they are not giving correct details about a motorcycle they are selling..its best to go elsewhere for a bike. Hope that helps. On the other hand...there is no reason not to buy a 1983 Honda Shadow as long as the bike's in good condition and not salvaged. You can get a great bike by going back to the 80's and buying cheap. Most of the parts that you would need to replace (If any) wouldn't be hard to get from an after market provider or even off of most newer shadow's since Honda like's to keep their bikes simple and interchangeable. Good Luck :)
Phoenix are really good ones to custom.
when your exhaust goes under water and you let it idle it creates a back pressure and the fumes hav no were to got that's why u try to keep the motor at a good rpm under water
