Youll obviously need a helmet so you dont crack your skull or damage your hair extensions. Gloves (First body part you put out to break your fall) so you dont shred your hands to bits. Proper Riding boots so you dont get skewered by your your gears or anything and eases changing gear. And clothes that can withstand high friction or minor padding so it eases a fall. Knne pads and elbow pads should help if you plan to absolutely thrash your moto and have a higher chance of hurting yourself.
The legal requirements differ from country to country. In theory you don't need any special equipment to ride a motorbike, you simply sit on it and ride it. In many countries that is the norm. For safety sake though it makes sense to wear some protective gear. A crash helmet and gloves might be considered the minimum. Boots are advisable, so it a heavy jacket to cope with abrasions if you come off the bike. Some people wear body armour. The choice is yours.
At a minimum, you need a helmet. After that, you should get a jacket with CE certified shoulder, elbow and preferably a back protector. Some heavy duty boots or motorcycle specific boots. Gloves with at least leather palms. Some sort of heavy duty pant.
