Assuming you are talking about lawn mower engines, it is located on top of the gas tank. The gas tank is of course where the gasoline is poured into.
Get a hose and spray it with water after each use. That should be sufficient, unless you wish to clean the engine properly as a mechanic too.
model type and code of the mower and from the engine. generally it is metal stamped on the engine and the unit model is near the rear of the mower.
Buy a lawn mower engine repair manual at Border's or Barnes & Noble.
The most common reason for a riding mower engine to run hot is that the cooling area under the metal tins around the engine is probably full of grass clippings or mouse nesting. You will need to remove the metal covering the engine and clean it out. The flywheel has fins on it the blow air accross the engine to keep it cool.
Depending on how this mower got out of tune is how you are going to know how to tune it back. It may be as simple as adjusting the mixture screw on your carburetor, or as difficult as filing the points (older engine) or replacing the diaphragms on the carburetor.
You do not clean it, you replace it with a new one.
very gently, or the mower will get squashed
you mean a lawn mower right.. if so no
The average weight is 100-110 pounds depending on the size of the engine and if its clean or covered in grass or any other material
