The Honda CT70 minibike is also known as the Honda ST-series or Dax in Europe. It was sold from the early 80s to mid 90s as a small but powerful motorbike.
1975
It's a late 1971 model CT70, probably manufacture date july or august 1971
1) Drain it. 2) Put more in.
I just spent $450 in canadian dollars for a bike I couldnt even go see. It looks like its in good shape, but if not I fix it.
It has an automatic clutch. Therefore it doesn't have a cable.
That is a 1970 K0 CT70. Serial numbers 100001-200000 were used for 1970 models.
They dim at idle speed because the headlight is run off of the stator, not the battery. At lower engine speed, the rotor is spinning slower and therefore generating less electricity. Most vehicles run the lights off of the battery, and all of the charge out of the generator or alternator recharges the battery, but not the CT70. The tail lights and some accessory lights run off the battery on the ct70.
Remove battery box and wiggle it right out remove the air breather first the lines are under it good luck
My buddy bought a 1991 with title and 750 miles in excellent condition for $1500 the other day. I bought a 1994 with title and 1400 miles in good condition for $1200. We went and looked at one in fair condition the other day a 1991 with title and 3000 miles many of which were offroad it was worth about $650.
I live in California and have a Honda CT70 Mini Trail which is a street legal, 70cc bike.I had the same question.I pulled this definition straight from the CA DMV website:A Motor Driven Cycle has 149CC or less engine size. CVC Sec. 405A Motor Driven Cycle has to be registered and driver must have a Motor cycle license (M1).A Motorcycle is anything over 150cc and requires an M1, too.A Moped or Motorized bicycle has pedals and only requires an M2.So, in answer to your question, if your bike is 50cc, is street legal and has no pedals you will need an M1 license. If it is 50cc and has pedals, then I think you're good to go with an M2.Here is the link to the CA DMV page with this infor:http://www.dmv.ca.gov/motorcycles/motorcycles.htm
