I know the 2012 cbr600rr top speed is 161mph
My son's first motorcycle was a Honda cbr 600. Now He rides a CBR 1000rr. The 600 is a fast, light, agile machine. The 600rr is a much faster machine. The (rr) stands for race ready and Honda is not kidding. Your question is " Should my first bike be a CBR 600rr" This is like should my first car be a Corvette. Any bike can be dangerous in the wrong hands. The Honda CBR600rr is a well built machine. It requires a minimum amount of maintaince and is a joy to ride. If you are a first time rider, I would recomend you enrole in a rider training course. Harley Davidson dealers as well as your state have these courses. The trick in riding a motorcycle is learn to ride it slow. Any fool can go fast. Don
This bike will go between 120 and 130 km/h.
124 miles an hour
the 600rr is considered a "race replica" bike. As it lacks speed on straight aways, it makes up for it in the corners. The 600rr should only be considered for the experienced. They are both motorcycles that go very fast. They both come in very nice colors. They both have nice lights. When you go vroom vroom, it sounds the same and chicks won't notice the difference. one is cheaper than the other, but buy what you're happy with because only grease monkeys will start naming the differences. if you like chicks, and you like the vroom vroom sound at the stop lights, and you like the veeeromm sound as you pass by on the freeway, they both do it. on top of that, you'll die equally as fast on both bikes, have fun and ride safe.
