You can use either a single Mikuni VM 34 or VM 36 on the 850. The 750 uses only the 34.
It uses a Mikuni 38 mm carb with round slide. 43mm x 66 mm spigot and mouth.
The OEM carb on a YZ465 is a 38MM Mikuni VM roundslide.
Too lean of a mixture. See if a jet is not clogged and clean the carb.
Yes it will fit, I have a 98 carb and my 86 model kx125

That is the correct carb Mikuni VM30SS ID # 44560 All the parts and specs are listed in the service manual you can get digitally on ebay (p. 105). I am looking for a rebuild kit, but it seems one would have to find bits and pieces here and there. I am awaiting to talk to the owner of vintage iron to see whether or not their 30mm plug and play carb is compatible. Goodluck to you sir or madame! ...Also see this... http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=647090
