They've been several posts here asking who makes various outdoor products like mowers and tractors. Many times it's some poor soul trying to find parts for an older machine built by a company that has been bought and sold several times.
On Thursday I saw my first cub cadet
(MTD) walk-behind mower with the Chinese Honda-knockoff engine. Those engines are built by a Taiwanese company called Jenn Feng, which was recently purchased by Husqvarna, who owns AYP. A couple years ago MTD signed an agreement with Jeng Feng that allowed both companies sell the products of the other company in Asia and North America. So, it seems, that now you have MTD selling Jenn Feng products (now owned by Husqvarna) and Jenn Feng selling McCulloch, Cub Cadet, Troy-Bilt, and Yard Machines from MTD. At least that's how I think it works.
Independent repair shops might struggle for a bit when a customer shows up with a mower, or chainsaw, they bought at a big-box store to ask for warranty repairs. There will be a learning curve for these new products, and parts stocking will be another challenge.
It will be interesting to see what happens to the Husqvarna chainsaw line now that they own a major Asian chainsaw manufacturer. Husky owns Mac; who'd a thought it.
Any place that sells MTD parts
I just happened to be browsing the web for the same answer and just found this: "American Yard Products produces mowers and other power equipment for : Craftsman Wizard, Husqvarna, Bradley, Caldor, Hechinger, Lawn Keeper, Meijer, Rickles, Wizard, Roper, Woodwards, Yard Master, Sears, Roper, Kgro, Rally, Weed Eater, Poulan, Poulan Pro, and others." I'm not taking credit for answering, but I !
Most MTD mowers have the solenoid under the panel the is in front of the seat and between your legs when you are seated on the mower. There should be two Phillips headed screws holding the plate down. Remove them along with the knobs from any linkage that goes through the plate. Once the plate is off you will see the solenoid bolted the on right below the front edge of the seat.
Yes the Husqvarna Viking Scandinavia 400 FS Sewing & Embroidery Machine.
You can buy zero turn mowers which use Honda engines. However Honda only builds push mowers themselves and push mowers don't need zero turn like riding mowers do.
Brute lawn mowers seem to have both good and bad reviews. They are considered to be among the least expensive of the self propelled lawn mowers and are deemed a good value for the price.
Good company, good rifle.
You can find used riding lawn mowers on ebay and at any location that sells used lawn mowers. You can also find used lawn mowers at yard sales and state sales.

Like any chain saws, one may purchase a Husqvarna chain saw at any retailer which sells power tools. Some examples of such stores include Lowes, Home Depot, and Sears.
