Yes, I have some model magic presto dots kits and my model magic got hard so I took a small piece and put it underwater but the colour started coming off(magic kingdom) so I dried the outside off and mixed that small piece in with the whole chunk I had and put it in the microwave for 5 seconds and it was perfectly soft!
