Generally, the more brittle and thin materials, use thinner and straighter teeth -and many more of them. My plexiglass blade has 10 small teeth to the inch alternately set from edge to center, with none sticking out. -It cuts plexiglass and plastics beautifully, but if used for wood, it would heat up and warp instantly. Fewer and larger teeth are neccesary for woods.
