The best thing is White Vinegar, just put it on and comb it out!! be careful of eyes!! Smells quite bad so need to wash the hair after, but this also works on Chewing Gum and on clothes, carpets etc.

you take some water and flour, you mix them and then you place it in a new bowl and put it in the microwave it for 1:00 minute but make sure you cover it when it is in the microwave.
