The allies were using North Africa as a militarization point to invade Italy and work their way up to Germany. So basically they wished to use North Africa as a choke point against the Italian forces, Nazi allies.

Hitler did not invade North Africa The Italians did but the Italian army sucked so Hitler helped his felow fashist dictator. so he sent an army of adout 100,00 men and 1000 tanks. He also sent the greatgeneral Romal. and they toke Africa for one the land and secound the Oil feilds.

Hitler wanted to invade other countries because when the Germans lost the first world war they ended up losing alot of land to other countries as a punishment so they wanted to get it back basically.
