The British won the second Boer War for many reasons, however the most prominent of them all was the change in tacts they used in comparison to that of the first Boer war in 1895. Instead of using their usual techniques they developed a much more aggressive approach which included the use of concentration camps and burning down of houses that they found weapons in. However, one must highlight that the concentration camps were not to torture or kill their victims as seen in the German Death Camps, they were actually used to monitor and protect the Boers families who had surrendered. However, this technique although deemed brutal by the likes of Hobhouse were incredibly effective, and one of the main factors as to why Britain won.
the British won the Boer war; both of them.
Britain won that war, until WW1, one of it's bloodiest wars ever fought.
The First Boer War began in December, 1880, and ended in March, 1981. The British abolishment of slavery led to more Boers seeking to loosen their ties to Britain. An unshared heritage between the Boers and Great Britain led to hostilities that resulted in war.

Britain won, Queen Victoria was a very strong leader.
The Boer war was lost by the Boer's. In brief, this happened because the Boers were simply outnumbered. If the Boers had more troops to deploy, they would have won the war.
