The exact value would depend on the coins' dates, conditions, and mint marks but on average, "war nickels" retail for about $1.30 to $1.50 each as of 09/2014.

These special coins, minted from mid-1942 to the end of 1945, contain about 1.3 grams of silver with the rest being copper and manganese; nickel metal was needed for the war effort. War nickels are easily distinguished by the large mint mark above the dome of Monticello on the back, and by the fact that they were the only coins minted before 1979 that had a "P" mint mark for Philadelphia.

Various claims you may read online to the contrary, they're also the only US nickels that ever contained any silver. All other nickels made since 1866 are struck in an alloy of 25% nickel and 75% copper.

Value of 1820 silver bufflow 5 cent?

To set things straight, it would be "buffalo" rather than "bufflow". Also it can't be 1820 because the first nickels weren't made till 1866 and buffalo nickels were issued from 1913 to 1938. And finally it can't be silver because buffalo nickels are made from copper-nickel, like all other nickels except the famous "war nickels" from 1942-45.If your coin is dated 1920, please see the Related Question for more information.

If I understand the question, with both Kennedy half dollars missing, the value would be for the silver quarters (2) and dimes (2) in the set about $8.00. The nickels and penny's in the set would be about 25 cents. A complete 1964 Mint set has a retail price of $30.00
