Actually, England didn't single handedly win World War 1. The allies won the war. The allies consisted of France, England, Canada, and the United states. There may have been a couple more. Germany's official nonconditional surrender was signed in a rail road car in France.
they had a naval blockaid on gremany which meant that gremany couldn't get any resources or food in to Germany. the entente also had more soildiers to fall back on and in a war of attrition this meant that they were able to put Germany under more pressure. towards the end of the war the German army was deserting on a massive scale. the entente started to change tactics and managed to use their tanks effectivly in cordnation with artillary and infantry both of which had advanced their own tactics which made them more effective. and Germany just couldn't keep up.
