Yes. Many people who lived in Florida enlisted in the Confederate Army. There were 4 or 5 infantry regiments organized from Florida. One of them fought in Virginia and at the Battle of Gettysburg.
A good source on this is the series "Confederate Military History" and the Volume 11 that covers the states of Texas and Florida. It was published in 1880's but was reprinted in 1950's. Since it is an old publication, you can access and download the entire book for free.
