The term you are referring to is "Total War" in which a country devotes all resources/citizens to the war effort. There have only been a few instances in which an entire country has devoted all of their resources to war. An example would be Germany in WWII. They as a country put all efforts towards the war, though in the end, lost. Countries like U.S.A. and the U.S.S.R. put forth alot of their resources towards the war but not nearly all.
The Black Market would have been used to purchase anything that would have been either rationed or just saved in a World War Two. Black Markets were of course illegal but they were common in many British cities. The government did very little to clamp down on them which is unsurprising as they did have a war to win!

To convince citizens to participate in a total war
Yes, but it would had been a much longer war and the Soviet Union could have usurped much more of Europe. It would turn into a war of resourceful insurance; Germany had limited resources and it was spending all of it on Russia and all attempts to gain more resources had been foiled at El Alamein and in the Caucasus. No. When Nazi Germany tried to invade Britain, they lost a major air battle, causing the invasion to fail. But since they had taken over so much of Europe, resources weren't a problem. Germany would've tried again and again to conquer the British, and eventually, they would've succeeded.
Butter had been rationed because the Germans just gave it to their army
All the food has been rationed.Nylon was rationed in World War 2 because it was needed to make parachutes with.
If the U.S. had been poor in Natural Resources, how would industrialization have been affected
if resources were in abundant there would have been no need to study economics why? what is production
Flour was rationed in the US but I don't know about bread. It may have just been harder to find since flour was rationed.
Chocolate.
In Europe the food was so scarce that people were starving and much of the staples were rationed, so ANY food would have been welcome.
A lack of natural resources could have slowed down industrialization in the US, as industries rely on resources like coal, iron, and oil to grow. It may have forced the country to seek alternative sources, potentially leading to higher costs of production and reduced competitiveness in the global market. The development of technology and innovation could have been slower without access to key resources.

If there was chocolate spread around, it would have been rationed and not many people would have had it.
