A Magnetic Resonance Cholangiopancreatography would be necessary if it is suspected that a person has a problem with their pancreas, gall bladder or liver. Prior to the test, a contrast dye will be taken either orally or injected into the blood stream so that the organs being studied will appear more clearly in the scan.
