It's very hard to get accurate statistics, because villagers in rural India will frequently go to the local healer instead of a doctor, not receive the antivenin, and will only report to medical authorities after complications occur. That said, it's estimated that the mortality rate from cobra bites is around 10%. Note that other complications are much more frequent than death.
