A baby sleeps for as long as it need's to! first, consider the age of the baby, first born usually sleep more than they are awake. again, the age has much to do with this question, so it's hard to narrow a correct answer, and there are so many other issues that could effect a babies sleep pattern. have a nice day~....
7:30pm! You should of started a loootttt sooner to get them on a correct schedule. My 20 month old has been going to bed at 7:30 since he was 14 months, and he went to bed at 7pm from 3months to 14months..
Answer
They need ten hours of sleep. So do the math. I had my child in bed by 7:30-8:00 and he was up around 6am. Certainly, it is better to keep a regular schedule so the child knows what to do and has an easy time waking in the morning. My opinion is, that if they are daycare kids, their health and behavior will be better. You can re-pattern the child over a long weekend and then just stick to your guns. Don't make exceptions until you have been doing this for awhile.
A fourteen year old should get nine hours of sleep each night.

because your baby is used to being in the wom its used to wrapped very tightly and the baby wont sleep bacause its too cold and they feel the breeze and wind and more so if you really want your baby to sleep wrap it very tightly in a blanket and but to pillows around it one on each sissde and your baby should sleep all night long!!!!! -D'onnitha

Children should get at least 8-9 hours of sleep per night to make sure they have an active And healthy brain for the next day.
They should sleep through the night, of course, and get a good sleep after a fun playtime. I would say, 2 or 3 half hour naps during the day.
Generally 8 hours of sleep for an adult. 9-10 for a teenager and 10-12 for a child.
