Yes the dentist does have to know your weight. If you are undergoing a major pulling of teeth they might ask you if you want the mouth frozen -or- if you want to take anesthesia and they need to know how much to put into you by your weight. Too less you could be able to feel everything, Too much you might not wake up for a long long time.
