Certain neurons can repair themselves while others can't. Neurons that can repair themselves are refreed to as white matter. The reason white matter can repair itself is because the axons of white matter are myelinated. The axons of neurons in grey matter on the other hand, cannot repair themselves because they are unmyelinated.
Excersise has been shown to regenerate new brain cells and I myself have noticed a lot of improvement after 1 day of running such as increased ability to stay focused and alert and increased short term memory. If I don't excersise for a week, then the benefits I gained from excersising start decreasing. I think the reason why brain cells regenerate after excersising may involve more oxygen coming to the brain and increased blood flow.

Although there is a phenomena called brain healing in which the damaged tissue liquefies and a lining forms around the damaged area, the brain can neither repair the damage nor replace the tissue. The rest of the brain compensates by using other areas to perform the otherwise lost function. See the related links.
yes, to a degree
Yoga is the body abel to repair damage to the parts of the nervous system
yes they can fully repair.
it defects the brain so you cant function the same
No.
No, unfortunately, they are one of the few types of cells that do not reproduce.
Neurons are supported by various types of glial cells, which provide structural support, insulation, and nourishment. Glial cells also help regulate the chemical environment surrounding neurons and play a crucial role in the repair and maintenance of the nervous system.
Yes
No, sensory neurons are not organs. Sensory neurons are a type of nerve cell that carry information from sensory receptors to the central nervous system where it is processed. They are part of the nervous system but do not constitute organs themselves.
Yes, Paramecium have the ability to repair themselves through processes like regeneration. When injured or damaged, Paramecium can repair their membranes and organelles to recover and continue their normal functions.
Some sleep experts suggest that neurons used during the day repair themselves during sleep. When we experience sleep deprivation, neurons are unable to perform effectively, and the nervous system is impaired.
Yes, glial cells are responsible for nourishing neurons and providing support to help repair and maintain them. They also play a role in clearing debris and waste products from the brain. Glial cells are essential for the proper functioning of the nervous system.
