Without knowing exactly which Code or industry this applies to, I'll give it a shot using AWS D1.1 standards.
The standard flare-groove detail is P10 indicating that it is a PJP (partial joint penetration) weld. If a weld size is not indicated, it is assumed it is a full thickness weld and I believe this is where the confusion comes in. It's a partial penetration with full thickness and that's where the argument starts.
This weld could be used as a full penetration weld (and held to that testing criteria) but the detailer must be specific about the intentions, particularly if it is used in a critical joint.
yes. A flare gun is not considered a firearm. Do not attempt to change one into a firearm.
Yes, a flare pistol in not considered a firearm by the us government and therefore you need no license to own one/
In general, no. A flare gun, properly called a flare projector, is capable of launching only a light weight, low velocity projectile, and is not suitable for use as a weapon. If an attempt were to be made to fire a standard firearm cartridge from a flare projector, it will likely destroy the projector, with a strong possibility of injury to the shooter.
Drive a screwdriver or flat punch into the stake groove to peel the flare back on the nut. Use and impact gun or a breaker bar to do the rest.
AP Flare = Atmospheric Pressure Flare
the fire sent a flare into the air.the flare from the fire was warm.
Flare jeans are back in style. There are different variations of "flare" to consider. The most popular flare pants are called boot cut and they have a small flare at the bottom.
Edge, flange and flare-groove joints are commonly welded with out using filler materials You can find this answer in this book WELDING TECHNOLOGY FUNDAMENTALS CHAPTER 4 and its under Typed of welds
You might think a flare would not burn in a vacuum, however, they will. The oxygen for the flare to burn is already chemically in the flare. And flare guns HAVE gone into space- as emergency equipment.
Kick flare are more shaped. They have more of a flare from the knee downwards, whereas the flare don't have such a defined line.
No. no more than a flare gun. It "fires" liquid OC pepper spray, and not a projectile.
