I am not sure that I have heard about this because my Bible has both the old and New Testament in the same binding. the old testament was written in Hebrew and the new in greek but both were translated to English in 1611. Jesus was a Jew so I can't understand how a christian could have a bible without any Jewish influence unless he cut out Christ. Those who want to do that are not Christians. The Jews denied Jesus as their messiah and had him crusified by the Romans. The Jews have paid for this many times through persecution like during WW2 and even though Jews are Gods chosen people and I believe he loves them they also have to accept Jesus as their savior just like the gentiles or they will burn in hell forever according to scripture. As you can probably tell I am a christian with strong beliefs and I don't know if you are Jewish or not -The main difference is belief in Jesus-if Jews do not believe in Jesus as the Christ then they can not accept the new testament and according to christian beliefs are lost and on thir way to hell just as any gentile would be in unbelief. True Christians belive in the old and new testaments alike and I only believe the King James 1611 to be the word of God. I respect other beliefs but if I did not believe mine to be true then I do not really have faith in it-do I? There can only be one truth, not a version of truth for every person. If two perspectives differ than one has to be wrong and maybe both are wrong but there can only be one right.
The bible(holy scriptures) is the end all of truth. For those who know Jesus as savior it is the guideline of life, for the dedicated christian it is the central focus of their lives. An athiest once told me it was the best moral guideline to ever exist, that if people lived by it there would be peace on earth.
Titus was a Christian minister that also accompanied Paul on at least one of his travels. In Titus 1:4 he is described by Paul as a "child of the faith". Upon completing a journey to the island of Crete, Paul had established new churches of which Titus had influence over. Not mentioned in the Acts of the Apostles, he was noted in Galatians where Paul writes of journeying to Jerusalem with Barnabas, accompanied by Titus. He was then dispatched to Corinth, Greece, where he successfully reconciled the Christian community there with Paul, its founder. Titus was later left on the island of Crete to help organize the Church, although he soon went to Dalmatia, Croatia. According to Eusebius of Caesarea in the Ecclesiastical Histor y, he served as the first bishop of Crete. He was buried in Cortyna (Gortyna), Crete; his head was later translated to Venice during the invasion of Crete by the Saracens in 832 and was enshrined in St. Mark's, Venice, Italy.
