What is the message in the first 5 books of the Bible?

Many feel that the first five books of The Bible("The Pentateuch") provide a solid foundation for the rest of the Bible, describing creation and man's history, Moses' birth, the deliverance of the Israelites from Egypt, and the beginning of the Law covenant at Sinai(1657 to 1512 B.C.E.), the structure for worship, including the laws and regulations for God's people, details on the 40 years of wandering (down to 1473 B.C.E.)and direction into the Promised Land.

It would appear that the ultimate message of the Pentateuch would be that mankind needs a Messiah, a ransomer, someone to save us from sin and death.(Romans 5:12)(1 Corinthians 15:45)

These accounts explain went wrong to bring sin and death into man's life (Genesis 2:16-17)(Genesis 3:4-6), the Mosaic Law makes it obvious that mankind cannot rule or save himself from this sin, needing a Messiah(Romans 7:14-25) (Galatians 3:13)and God's oversight of his people, Israel, shows that he cares for people and will fulfill his promises, as he did back then (Joshua 23:14)and will in our future(John 3:16).
