Lent is a catholic invention and is found nowhere in Scripture. It is a ritual which may or may not cause people to draw closer to God. They would be much better spending their time studying WHO JESUS is from the Word of God especially the Gospel of John. Rituals very seldom cause us to know WHO God is!
